Improvements at Murcia

Massive improvements have been made to the road at Murcia Town centre. Me and our Leader Terry Screen visited today 26th August. The entire road has been scaped and a crushed base put in place, The only problem at the moment is that they have had to dug a large hole under the bridge for what we think was a tractor and wagon to pass so you cant at the moment drive past the bridge.

Terry fished prior to the hole ,this side of the first bridge and i was a peg closer to the old weir , which is still not in operation. The water looked very murky with quite a bit of floating cane etc but was quite fishable with a nice slow flow.

I did not fancy our chances but first put in on the method feeder I had a carp about 2 kilos. Second put in I got Broke and third put in i got a carp of about half a kilo. For me the fishing was fantastic, in all I had 35 carp, about 20 were around the half a kilo size , which is great news , the rest were between a kilo and 3 kilo. I had in all way over 25 kilo of fish. 

Terry on the other hand messsed about on the pole and caught about a dozen fish. 

It does not look that it will be long before it is finished and hopefully it will be a great match venue once again.

Go down the RM300 and opposite Carrefour there is some waste ground by the river and a gravel track going down .Park on the waste ground not the track .

Have been into Murcia and seen the fishery but was wondering about access.
I presume you park somewhere in the town and then walk down the steps to the bank?

do you mean the embalse de la cierva if soyes it is a private venue, you used to have to buy a day ticket available from various bars in the town or the chemist in the mains st. But this was years ago
