El Bosquet day ticket fishery
Parque natural de El Hondo
Crevillente, Valenciana, Spain
Call 615 89 58 39
This is the only english style commercial fishery that we
have in our area of Spain. It is a day ticket water at a cost of €8 per day and a Valencian licence is also required.
The complex consists of 4 canal type waters and a large lake. The driving area
around the lakes has in the main been covered in fine stones to make driving ok in most types of weather.
The pegs themselves have again been made so that fishing is comfortable and easy, a lot of this
work has been done by local angling clubs and Terry Screen and Ron Sailsbury have done an awful lot of the work. I will try to describe each area the best i can.
Long Channel.
This
consist of 10 pegs from peg 1 to peg 10. The channel is about 8 metres wide and at most 5 foot deep. It holds lots of big carp up to about 8lb, barbel to 6lb and a few mullet, it is much better in the summer months as are all the lakes but peg one is by far
the most prolific peg on the water. The banks have recently been cleared and fishing across on the pole or using a small feeder or method feeder usually produce the best results. Bread , maggots ,corn and paste in the summer will all catch you fish. The largest
weight I have seen on this lake is over 40kgs.
The Oblong
This consists of 6 pegs and is by far the most consistent water on the complex.
This is much
wider than all the other channels and is about 12 metres wide and at best 5 foot deep. This water has a huge head of carp a few big barbel and lots of mullet.
Fishing tight across is usually the best option but several methods can
work on the day , this water sees very few dry nets and weights of over 50kg are possible. Any peg can win this water but 14 , 15 , 16 are the ones that a lot of people wish to draw.
Back Channel
1
This water has also been cleared recently. The road around it is not that great and should be avaoided if its raining. This consists of pegs 17 to 24
This channel is about 10 metres wide and 6 foot
deep in places. This does respond better than most to the feeder or method and does contain some very big mullet around the 8lb mark and lots of carp. Mullet can be a problem if fishing bread and can be very frustrating at times. The weights are not as big
on this lake but are more consistent during the winter months. No peg is an outright favourite but both end pegs are probably the best.
Back Channel 2
This is the newest of all
the waters. It has only just had the pegs put in and is a bit like the moon at the moment. Dont even think of driving down if it has rained or you will get stuck.
The water has been widened and is now about 12 metres wide and 6 foot
deep in places it has 15 pegs and these will be 25 to 40 . This water contains lots of carp and lots of very small mullet. It is very peggy at the moment and the fish are not used to movement , cars etc and does not fish well when lots of peole are on
it. They will settle down and in the next few months i am sure it will fish very well. It is allready in winter producing weights in excess of 20kg. No pegs are favoured at the moment.
The big lake.
This is very very shallow and as such is not fished that often. All of the corner pegs fish well but dont be surprised if you blank on this lake. One day you will catch carp one after the other the next day you may blank its that sort of
place. The feeder is a prefered option but the pole close in tight to the reeds will also catch fish. Some of the biggest carp on the complex are in this lake and are supposidly upto 10kgs but if you have 15 kgs you will probably win the match.

Hello all, I am relocating to Cabo Roig in December. I am a big keen fisherman and so far have only been told of one carp lake to fish. Called Lake Padrera?? This is huge! Any of ideas ?
IAN BROWN
Please recontact us when you arrive , pedrera allthough huge has very limited access and is very patchy fishing, lots of other venues but covid a problem at the moment
David Sutcliffe
Ive just arrived in spain this year my self !you can fish the river in murcia or there is a really good reservoire behind murcia which is supposed to be good ?you will need a murcian fishing liscence!
David Sutcliffe
Im afraid that the reservoire is very difficult to get down too because they have closed off the only road to get down to it! I have driven around all over trying to find a way down ?
Keith
Which fishing license to use when fishing Embalse de Pedrera please
